Empresa Electrica Pehuenche SA is a Chile-based company principally engaged in the electrical utilities sector. The Company is involved in the generation, transmission, distribution and supply of electricity. Empresa Electrica Pehuenche SA is active in the development, maintenance and operation of three hydroelectric power plants: Pehuenche, with an installed power capacity of 570 megawatts (MW); Curillinque, with an installed power capacity of 89 MW, and Loma Alta, with an installed power capacity of 40 MW. The Company’s power plants are located in the basin of the Maule River, the Seventh Region of Chile. As of December 31, 2012, the Company was a subsidiary of Empresa Nacional de Electricidad SA (ENDESA), which in turn is a subsidiary of Enersis SA.
