At Endesa Chile's Board of Directors meeting held today, Joaquín Galindo's resignation from the position of CEO of the company was accepted, agreeing to appoint Valter Moro as his replacement as of the first of November.

Joaquín Galindo, who held the position of Endesa Chile's CEO since November 20, 2009, will return to Spain to take on new responsibilities within the Enel Group in that market.

Endesa Chile's Board of Directors acknowledged the work that Joaquin Galindo performed throughout his tenure in charge of the Company's general management.

Valter Moro's responsibilities shall include managing the operations of Endesa Chile's generation in Chile, and maximizing operational efficiency and maintenance, as well as expenditure, investment, and maximizing the return from operations. He will provide support for the development of the generation business and the optimization of the asset portfolio.

Valter Moro, Mechanical Engineer from the Università Politecnica delle Marche, has 18 years of experience in the Enel Group, parent of Enersis, of which he served 10 years in generation facilities and 8 years in energy management activities in Italy and Spain. Currently he was performing as Director of Enel's generating unit in La Spezia (1,300 MW thermoelectric plant).
