• Endesa, within its open innovation model, continues with its approaching of entrepreneurs as a source of solutions for technology challenges.

• Spain Startup will again seek the best new startups and now not only in Spain, but also in other Mediterranean countries and Latin America. Last year it was attended by over 7,000 people of 34 nationalities, 3,500 entrepreneurs, 1,800 major companies, 450 investors and 40 of the leading international investment funds.

Endesa will participate for the third year running in the next 'Spain Start Up: The South Summit', the largest entrepreneurship fair in Southern Europe.

The event, organised by Spain Startup, IE Fundación INCYDE, will be coming to Madrid again between 7 and 9 October, and will be held at Las Ventas again. This iconic venue will become a meeting point bringing together the most innovative startups and leading international investment funds and also the most innovative corporations including Endesa which, as a global partner of the event, seeks to demonstrate its commitment to encouraging innovation and specialist use of high technology in the energy sector.

At this event, which is being held for the third time, Endesa will again have a stand in the market-place zone, which is where all the other participants will be. It is here that it will introduce its various entrepreneurship-related initiatives and its innovation model, an open model which encourages the approaching of entrepreneurs, considered a source of solutions for the challenges posed by its business.

Furthermore, the three-day event, where a suitable environment will be created to encourage new startups in Spain, more entrepreneurs to come to our country and the building of an efficient network of investors, will end with the awarding of the competition prizes. Endesa will be on the panel of judges who, during the competition, will be responsible for selecting the winning startups in the Energy & Industry category of the competition.
