John Minett, SVP, Claims Counsel co-authored an article in the PLUS Journal, March 2014 issue titled "Thoughts 'in Connection with'  Our Nominations to the U.S. Supreme Court." The article describes the U.S. Supreme Court's recent decision involving the application of the Securities Litigation Uniform Standards Act ("SLUSA") of 1998 to the numerous Stanford Ponzi scheme class actions brought against Stanford's law firms, insurance brokers, and other professionals who allegedly facilitated the $7B fraud. John addresses the definition of the SLUSA statute and its scope when misrepresentations 'in connection with' the purchase or sale of publicly-traded securities could become present.

John joined Endurance in January 2009 and has nearly 25 years of law firm and corporate in-house experience in the insurance/reinsurance industry. He is an active member of the Professional Liability Underwriting Society (PLUS) and the Defense Research Institute (DRI), a published author, and frequently speaks at industry events.
