Endurance Appoints Rene Lamer to Head U.S. Property Catastrophe Treaty Reinsurance

PEMBROKE, Bermuda, Oct. 11, 2011 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Endurance Specialty Holdings Ltd. (NYSE:ENH), a Bermuda-based specialty provider of property and casualty insurance and reinsurance, today announced that Rene Lamer will assume the role of Senior Vice President and Head of U.S. Property Catastrophe Treaty Reinsurance. Mr. Lamer, a Bermudian, will continue to report to Stephen Young, Executive Vice President and Head of Global Catastrophe Reinsurance.

Mr. Lamer joined Endurance in March 2002 as a catastrophe analyst within our Bermuda based Property Catastrophe Reinsurance team and was promoted to Vice President of U.S. Property Catastrophe Treaty Reinsurance in 2006. In 2008, Rene assumed additional responsibilities as Head of Catastrophe Linked Products focusing on alternative catastrophe reinsurance. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Concordia University in Montreal, Canada.
