ENGIE : Appointments within the ENGIE Group

Olivier Biancarelli is appointed CEO of Tractebel effective 7 May, 2018. He replaces Daniel Develay, who will endorse the responsibility of the new Integration Management Office of ENGIE Group. Tractebel is one of the world's largest engineering consultancy companies, specialized in Energy and Water & Cities Infrastructures. Olivier Biancarelli will report to Shankar Krishnamoorthy, Executive Vice-President of ENGIE, and will be a member of its management team.

Aged 47, Olivier Biancarelli holds a Master's degree in Law from the University of the Sorbonne and is a graduate of the Institut d'Etudes Politiques of Paris. He is also a former student of the Ecole Nationale d'Administration.

Olivier Biancarelli began his career in the service of the State in 2000 as a member of the prefectural corps before being appointed adviser to the Minister of the Interior in 2005 and then to the Head of State from 2007 to 2012.

He joined the ENGIE Group in 2012 as Assistant Secretary General and then created and led the Shared Services Department. In 2015, he was appointed to set up a new activity dedicated to Decentralised solutions for the cities and regions.

Since January 2016, he has been Director of the Métier 'Decentralised solutions for Cities and Territories'.

Daniel Develay is appointed Managing Director of the Integration Office effective 7 May, 2018. He will report to Shankar Krishnamoorthy, Executive Vice-President of ENGIE Group. The purpose of the New Integration Department is to provide support for the integration of newly-acquired companies into the portfolio of the ENGIE Group.

Aged 60, Daniel Develay graduated as an engineer from the Ecole Centrale de Paris (1979). He joined the ENGIE Group in 1987 and has held positions as project director and director of Tractebel subsidiaries, mainly abroad. His career has been marked by major energy projects, dams and hydroelectric plants with key references in Africa, India and Brazil. He has also worked for MEDEF International and SYNTEC Ingénierie.

Since 2014, Daniel Develay has been Chief Executive Officer of Tractebel, the ENGIE Business Unit specialising in energy and major water and city infrastructure engineering.

Martin Jahan de Lestang is appointed Managing Director of the Gas Chain Metier. He replaces Jean-Marc Leroy, who is appointed Senior Executive Vice-President for External Relations of the ENGIE Group. He will report to Shankar Krishnamoorthy, Executive Vice-President of ENGIE Group, and will be a member of its management team.

Aged 46, Martin Jahan de Lestang is a graduate of the Ecole nationale d'administration, of the Ecole Normale Supérieure and of the Institut d'Etudes Politiques of Paris.

He began his career by working for the French State. He joined the ENGIE Group in 2009, in the gas supply department. Assistant Director and then Director of the 'capacities portfolio' unit, he was in charge of streamlining the portfolio of the Group's contracts relating to the logistics of its supplies in Europe (transmission, storage, terminals). He also took part in the industry thinking on the model of the gas market in Europe (gas target model). In 2013, he was appointed Director of Performance and Innovation of the Infrastructure Business Line of the ENGIE Group.

Since 2014, Martin Jahan de Lestang has been CEO of Elengy and President of Fosmax LNG.

Carole Le Gall is appointed CEO of ENGIE's France Networks Business Unit effective 1 May, 2018. She replaces Frédéric Martin who will become Deputy CEO of GRDF. She will report to Pierre Mongin, Executive Vice-President of ENGIE Group.

Aged 48, Carole Le Gall is a general engineer of the Corps des Mines and holds a Master's degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Before joining ENGIE, she worked for sustainable development for 20 years, first at the French Ministry of the Economy, in the economic development department of the Prefecture of the Pays de Loire region. She then occupied the position of Deputy CEO of Nantes Métropole, in charge of economic development and attractiveness of the territory. In 2006, she joined the top management of the ADEME to work on the themes of energy efficiency, renewable energies and air quality. Carole Le Gall has also led the CSTB (Scientific and Technical Centre for Building) for 6 years.

As a member of the Executive Committee of ENGIE Cofely from June 2015 to April 2018, Carole Le Gall has overseen cross-functional projects relating to digital transformation, innovation and the development of new offers. She chaired the ENGIE Lab Cylergie (Lyon) as well as two subsidiaries involved in digital solutions (Vertuoz & Blu.e).

Since June 2015, Carole has headed ENGIE Cofely's innovation/marketing solutions and the Key Program of the ENGIE Group regarding the renovation of buildings. In partnership with the entities of the Group, this program has been used to develop the presence of ENGIE on the markets of the building sector, backed by the Group's know-how in engineering, climate and electrical engineering and facility management.

Jean-Marc Leroy is appointed Senior Executive Vice-President for ENGIE External Relations effective 13 April, 2018. He reports to Shankar Krishnamoorthy, Executive Vice-President of ENGIE Group. Jean-Marc Leroy will work in close collaboration with the Métiers of the Group, in particular that of the Gas Chain. His role will be to promote a global smart energy system underpinned by a sustainable and well-balanced energy mix.

Aged 60, Jean-Marc Leroy holds an engineer degree from the Ecole Nationale Supérieure d'Electrotechnique, d'Electronique, d'Informatique, d'Hydraulique et de Télécommunications de Toulouse (ENSEEIHT), of which he is currently chairman of the supervisory board.

He joined the Group in 1980, at EDF-GDF Services. From 1997 to 2004, he occupied key positions at Gaz de France: Chief of staff, Secretary of the Board, Deputy Vice-President for Strategy, Vice-President for External Relations and Internal Communications. From 2005 to 2009, he was responsible for gas storage and liquefied natural gas regasification terminals at Gaz de France and subsequently GDF SUEZ. In 2009, he became Chief Executive Officer of Storengy, the underground gas storage operator of ENGIE. Between 2008 and 2013, he was President of Gas Storage Europe (GSE), the storage pillar of the Gas Infrastructure Europe (GIE) association.

Since 1 January 2016, Jean-Marc Leroy has been Managing Director of ENGIE's Gas Chain Métier.

Jean-Marc Leroy has also several non-executive roles. He is President of Gas Infrastructure Europe since November 2015, a member of the Board of Directors of the Global Gas Centre within the World Energy Council since 2015, and, since September 2017, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of GRDF, the French gas distribution affiliate of ENGIE.

Cedric Osterrieth is appointed Chief Executive Officer of ENGIE's Generation Europe Business Unit effective April 1, 2018. He reports to Paulo Almirante, Executive Vice-President of ENGIE Group.

Aged 48, Cedric Osterrieth holds a Master's degree in applied economics from the Catholic University of Louvain and a Certificate from the general management program from CEDEP at Insead. After starting his career in the energy sector in 1995, Cedric joined the ENGIE Group in 2000 where he held financial advisory functions until 2007, supporting M&A and development projects in South East Asia and Europe. Between 2007 and 2011, Cedric was Vice- President, Finance for GDF SUEZ Energy North America, where he was responsible for funding activities, commodity markets risk control and performance control.

In 2011, Cedric joined ENGIE's Exploration and Production Business Unit. He consecutively held positions as Chief Financial Officer, in Paris, Managing Director of its Norwegian operational entity based in Norway, and lately as Chief Executive Officer of the Business Unit until the closing of the sale of the entity to Neptune Energy.

Damien Térouanne is appointed Strategic Supply and Sourcing Director for the ENGIE Group effective 1 May, 2018. He replaces Claire Brabec-Lagrange. He will report to Didier Holleaux, Executive Vice-President of ENGIE Group.

Aged 45, Damien Térouanne is a graduate of the Ponts et Chaussées engineering school and holds an executive MBA from HEC. He joined the ENGIE Group in 1998, after 18 months of cooperation at the National Science Foundation in Washington, D.C. He began his career in gas infrastructure: project management, operational management, then negotiating the transport offer with natural gas suppliers and with the Energy Regulation Commission. He then joined the activities of energy services, where he served as Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Climespace (the Paris district cooling system) between 2009 and 2011, then as Managing Director of Cofely Networks between 2012 and 2015, a period of extensive renewal and conversion to renewable energy in the portfolio of heat network concessions.

Since 2015, he has been Managing Director of the ENGIE entity in charge of B2B marketing for electricity and natural gas in France, for which he just led the transformation plan.
