ENKA INSAAT VE SANAYI Under the contract signed between ÇİMTAŞ-IHI, the last girder block erection within the scope of 'Izmit Bay Crossing Suspension Bridge Project' was successfully completed on April 19, 2016.
İzmit Bay Crossing Suspension Bridge will be the longest suspension bridge in Turkey and 4th longest in the world with a main span of 1,550 m and a total length of 2,682 m.
In total; 52,000 tons of welded construction; formation of 108 tower blocks comprising 432 tower panels, formation of 113 girder blocks comprising 3,246 girder panels; and site erection of the girder blocks including the final adjustment and welding works, have been undertaken by ÇİMTAŞ, and successfully completed.
