On 29 June at 09:33 pm local time, steam-power unit No.4 of Surgutskaya GRES-2 Branch of E.ON Russia JSC (Surgut, Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Disctrict - Yugra) was put into operation and incorporated in the Unified Energy System of Urals.

The plant completed a large scale of work restoring the roofing metalwork and repairing power unit No.4 which was damaged during the accident of 4 January: damaged equipment, pipelines and cable lines were replaced; flaw detection and repair work was accomplished on the power unit's primary and auxiliary equipment. Repair and restoration work met the deadline and the schedule.

Currently, all the eight power units of Surgutskaya GRES-2 are being utilized to supply power to the consumers of the Tyumen energy system: STUs No.1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 of 800 MW capacity each, and CCGTs No.7 and 8 of 400 MW capacity each. Surgutskaya GRES-2 is currently operating at a capacity of 4,790 MW.

There are no restrictions on and failures of electric power and heat supply.
