KANSAS CITY, Kan., Feb. 03, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Epiq (NASDAQ:EPIQ), a leading global provider of integrated technology solutions and services for the legal profession, today announced an enhanced corporate managed services offering to address the specific challenges corporate clients face when conducting eDiscovery.

ArcSM—Epiq’s managed services platform that gives clients their own Relativity® environment for a fixed monthly fee—has long been adopted within law firms and has become increasingly popular among corporate legal departments. In response to requests from corporate clients, Epiq added new features within the Arc platform to address the needs of corporations.

Arc is now equipped with cross-matter reporting, which gives clients the ability to run reports across multiple cases. This aspect of Arc gives users a bird’s-eye view on data storage allocation, reviewer performance and the review environment as a whole.

Users can save multiple dashboards, cuts and views, and can report by case, law firm, jurisdiction, matter type, or all four. The Arc platform also offers project and custodian tracking that links eDiscovery activity to data from a corporation’s matter management application or legal hold system and provides data that ties projects and custodians from these systems through processing to hosting and review.

“Corporations today face more litigation and eDiscovery pressure than ever before,” said Andrew Shimek, managing director, eDiscovery. “Managed services delivered via our Arc platform helps ease that burden by providing inside counsel teams the ability to forecast and control costs.”

In addition, Epiq’s HorizonSM processing workflow application can now merge chat and audio data with other eDiscovery data and combine it in the Arc platform. Chat and audio discovery tools are often of particular interest to financial institutions that are required by law to record all their phone transactions, or corporations that routinely use chat applications.
