Luz Saúde Acquires Clinics on Madeira Island
Luz Saúde Group acquired this week 81,14% social capital of the society owner of Clínica de Santa Catarina, in Funchal, and of Policlínica do Caniço, in Santa Cruz, private health units on the autonomous region of Madeira.
Established in 1963, Clínica de Santa Catarina is a unit of reference on Madeira, offering a wide range of healthcare, such as internment, surgery, medical specialies consultations and complementary means of diagnosis and therapeutics. This clinic occupies an area of 2000 square meters, with 37 beds available, having undergone works of renovation and expansion in the premises destined to internment and surgery, always in view of better private healthcare for clients.
In 2015, Clínica de Santa Catarina performed about 1500 surgeries abd 15 thousand consultations and registered 4.3 million Euros of estimated profit. It includes 50 professional workers and over 100 physicians of different specialities, also offering a complete service of imaging with magnetic resonance (MRI), computed axial tomography (CT), echography and general radiology.
The new units join now the 19 hospitals, clinics and senior residences that integrate Hospital da Luz network, putting healthcare of quality and excellence at the service of the population of Madeira autonomous region.
