France's Essilor Joins Euro Stoxx 50 Index

French ophthalmic lens maker Essilor SA (>> ESSILOR INTL.) said Monday it has been selected to join the euro zone's Euro Stoxx 50 Index from June 18.

MAIN FACTS:

-The company said in a statement that the move should improve the stock's liquidity.

-It added that Essilor ranks 34 within the index, based on its free-float market capitalization on the selection date.
