Amaro (Italy) - October 9th, 2014 - Eurotech, a leader in green supercomputing technology, today announced they have appointed Fabio Gallo as Vice President and General Manager of the HPC (High Performance Computing) strategic business unit. Under this role, Mr. Gallo will lead the supercomputing division of the Group with a stronger focus on business development and operating efficiency.

During his long career Fabio Gallo has been serving in several roles in top HPC companies. He held a number of roles with significant responsibility at IBM, where he stayed for twelve years; he was Business Unit Director and Senior Director EMEA Marketing at SGI for eight years; after that he was Vice-President for the European and Middle Eastern business activities at Linux Networx and then Vice-President responsible for Sales Development for Europe and the Middle East at Scali. More recently he has been Vice-President and Director of HPC Solutions at Bull in France, where he led the expansion of the business with Enterprise customers. Prior to joining Eurotech, Mr. Gallo was CEO at iOpener Media, a German company active in the games and motorsports industries.
