Eurotech is showcasing its M2M/IoT solutions offering at Embedded World in Nuremberg

AMARO, February 24, 2015 - Eurotech, a leading supplier embedded systems, Machine-to-Machine (M2M) platforms and Internet of Things (IoT) solutions, is exhibiting at Embedded World in Nuremberg, Germany, from 24 to 26 February 2015 (Hall 5/5-446), showcasing its portfolio of solutions for the M2M/IoT market.

The innovation lineup will include the new release 3.5 of Everyware Cloud™ (EC), Eurotech's M2M/IoT Integration Platform. Everyware Cloud™ is a Machine-to-Machine Integration Platform that simplifies device and data management by connecting distributed devices over secure and reliable cloud services. Once devices are deployed, the Everyware Cloud™ allows users to connect, configure and manage devices through the lifecycle, from deployment through maintenance to retirement.

With EC 3.5 a set of new features that greatly enrich the remote device management capabilities come into action, including remote device configuration, control, provisioning, and update. These features enable the Everyware Cloud Web Console to be the single point of administration for all connected devices, and make the Everyware Cloud REST APIs the single programmable interface to remote devices. Security and reliability have been enhanced by introducing Two-Factors-Authentication and platform Health Check Monitoring, as Eurotech constantly invests in these fundamental aspects.

"We continue to focus and invest in making IoT/M2M projects easier, faster and secure for organizations to deploy," said Robert Andres, Chief Marketing Officer of Eurotech. "ESF for M2M Gateways and Smart Devices on one side, and Everyware Cloud as an M2M/IoT Integration Platform on the other side, together build the foundation for solid M2M/IoT solutions. With Everyware Cloud 3.5 we have made an important step forward, and we are excited for the innovative features that are planned for the next releases."

At Embedded World, Eurotech is also presenting the new features of Everyware Software Framework (ESF) release 3.0, the Java OSGi software framework for M2M multiservice gateways and smart devices. ESF acts like the bridge between the private device network and the local network, public Internet or cellular network. It provides a secure, reliable and optimized data transmission mechanism among field devices (sensors, actuators and human-machine interfaces) and between these field devices and cloud platforms via M2M/IoT optimized protocols like MQTT. The new features included in ESF enable a complete set of very powerful remote device management operations, either on demand or on schedule, via the Everyware Cloud Web Console: device provisioning, update, control, configuration, diagnostics and monitoring.

In the hardware space, Eurotech offers a range of gateways specifically designed for M2M and IoT applications, which will be shown to Embedded World visitors: these include the multiservice gateway and edge controller for industrial environments, ReliaGATE 10-20, and the cloud-connected environmental monitoring system, ReliaSENS 18-12, compact and easy to use. The latter has recently received the 2014 M2M Evolution IoT Excellence Award presented by TMC and Crossfire Media. The award honours innovative products that support the availability of information being deduced, inferred and directly gathered from sensors, systems and other sources that supports better business and personal decisions.

Eurotech has also expanded the family of embedded computers and multiservice gateways based on Freescale processors with the new CPU-351-13, an ARM-based embedded platform that delivers superior functionality in a small form factor that allows for efficient packaging and design. The CPU-351-13 delivers performance with extreme power efficiency and simplified heat management. The flexible platform can be used for a wide range of applications such as retail kiosk displays, medical equipment, and control panels for fitness equipment.
