EUROTECH S.P.A. After the great success reached during the previous years, Eurotech confirmed and extended its participation with regards to CeBIT 2016 (Hannover, March 14-18, 2016), presenting their integrated portfolio of hardware and software solutions for M2M/IoT applications, enabling end users as well as system integrators to cut time-to-market and deploy scalable, flexible and affordable IoT projects.
As part of the participation, a keynote will be held by Eurotech CEO, Roberto Siagri, pointing out how IoT acts as a powerful driver of Business Innovation, leading to better products, new services and to the outcome economy.
Some of the products that will be presented during the tradeshow are the M2M / IoT gateways, that connect devices, sensors and actuators in the field to the cloud, where data are collected, stored and managed by business applications. Several commercial, industrial and transportation grade multi-service gateway and edge controller designs based on different processor architectures (Intel, Arm) with flexible connectivity options to enable various Internet of Things applications will be shown. These Multi-Service Gateways are smart devices that include Eurotech's Everyware Software Framework (ESF) a device application development framework to program devices quickly and extend capabilities further including remote device and embedded application management. ESF, based on Java/OSGi, provides a 'software-defined-gateway' as it virtualizes the device's hardware functions and exposes them as Java classes. Several of these IoT devices also support Eurotech's ReliaCELL modular cellular adapter, making the gateway immediately deployable on different mobile carrier networks worldwide.
One of the major challenges in creating IoT solutions is the integration of operational technology with the enterprise IT world. Having devices, sensors and actuators interacting with analytics and business applications in real-time has always been a strength of Everyware Cloud™ (EC), the M2M/IoT integration platform developed by Eurotech to simplify device and data management by connecting distributed devices over secure and reliable cloud services.
