EVA to Brighten Texas' Summer Skies with Specially Painted Airplane Introducing Hello Kitty Shining Star Jet flights, Houston-Asia

EVA Air will use its newest Hello Kitty Jet, a brand-new, specially painted Boeing 777-300ER, to launch non-stop flights from Houston to Taipei, Taiwan on June 20, 2015. The airline is working with Sanrio to create a Hello Kitty Jet theme and design tailor-made for the Lone Star State and naming it the EVA Hello Kitty Shining Star Jet. With just one easy stop in Taipei, EVA will offer travelers from Houston and the Southwest the ease of fortable, one-stop connections from Taiwan onward to almost every major business and leisure destination in Asia, including 83 convenient weekly connections to 10 cities in Southeast Asia, Singapore, Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon), Hanoi, Manila, Kuala Lumpur, Jakarta, Surabaya (Indonesia), Bangkok, Phnom Penh and Denpasar (Bali). EVA and its UNI Air subsidiary operate an additional 133 weekly flights to 33 destinations in Mainland China. It will initiate the route between Houston's George Bush Intercontinental and Taipei's Taoyuan International Airports with three flights a week and add a fourth, using a Boeing 777-300ER with standard EVA livery, on July 1, 2015:

EVA will further extend its Houston Hello Kitty Jet service by flying the new aircraft between Taipei and Singapore. Singapore-bound BR215 will depart Taipei at 09:25 a.m. and BR216 will return at 3:10 pm (15:10). Consistent with its Houston schedule, EVA will start Hello Kitty Jet service to Singapore on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday and add a Tuesday flight on July 1, 2015.

The airline is outfitting its new Boeing with all of the latest forts and conveniences, including inflight Wi-Fi, global roaming and state-of-the-art entertainment systems in every seat. It is configuring it with 333 seats, 39 in Royal Laurel Class business, 56 in Elite premium economy and 238 in Economy.
