EVA's introduction of Kaohsiung - Osaka service is the outcome of its successful development since its regular launch from Kaohsiung to Tokyo in 2013. The new route is designed to meet the increasing market demand and give both business and leisure passengers more flexibility and itinerary options, significantly reduce travel time and increase convenience for travelers to and from southern Taiwan. EVA is working with travel agents to create tour packages for independent travelers and group alike that will include the most popular tourist attractions in Kansai, such as Universal Studios Japan, Kyoto, and Nara. Travelers can visit Osaka from Kaohsiung and return via Taipei, where EVA provides daily two flights, or vice versa to enrich their travel experiences.

EVA's Japan gateways include both Narita and Haneda airports in Tokyo, Osaka, Fukuoka, Komatsu, Sendai, Sapporo, Asahikawa, Hakodate, and Okinawa. The airline's routing within Asia is among the best in the airline industry. From gateways in Europe, Oceania and North America, passengers can make one stop in Taipei and easily connect onward to most major business and leisure destinations in Asia.
