Thousands of our shiny new solar panels are ready to be connected to the electrical grid and to start soaking up the sun -- turning those rays into clean, green power. Now that's a thing of beauty!

This is a birds-eye view of one of our nearly completed universal solar sites in Hampden. It's one of more than a dozen we're building across the Commonwealth.

Our goal is to bring a total of 70 Megawatts of more affordable solar power to our customers, while simultaneously doing our part to help Massachusetts reach its renewable energy goals.

We're also committed to protecting the environment. From extensive environmental studies, to hiring wildlife experts and working closely with folks who live nearby every step of the way, we're making sure our solar facilities are good neighbors! Not only do they run cleanly and quietly, they also generate tax dollars for host communities.

The solar site pictured below is being built right at our East Springfield Service Center. This innovative, multi-use canopy-style array will be soaking in the sun and creating power, while at the same time providing well-lit protection for our vehicles. We've got two more canopy solar facilities in construction at our Plymouth and New Bedford Service Centers.

We'll keep you updated on our progress as our solar program continues to take-off!
