EVN specializes in the production and the distribution of electricity and natural gas. Net sales break down by activity as follows:
- production and distribution of electricity and gas (84.7%) : electricity (21,241 GWh sold in 2011/12 in Austria), natural gas (6,166 GWh sold) and heat (1,923 GWh sold);
- supply of environmental services (11.1%): potable water distribution and waste water treatment services, facility design and construction, industrial waste collection and treatment, etc. ;
- other (4.2%).
Net sales are distributed geographically as follows: Austria (57.5%) and Europe (42.5%).
