Evonik, one of the world's leading specialty chemicals companies, recently launched in the Arabian Peninsula a school campaign aimed at re-awakening the interest in science.

'We always look for ways to contribute to the communities that we operate in. This was the reason we launched Young Spirit school campaign almost fifteen years ago in Germany where the company is headquartered' said Michael Wring, President of Evonik Gulf FZE, Middle East and North Africa.

'As our global presence became more prominent, the concept of Young Spirit travelled from Germany to different locations across the world, and we are very pleased today to bring it to our region' Wring added.

Young Spirit is an initiative where Evonik scientists or Young Spirit Ambassadors visit schools and show children simple and fun scientific experiments that could be easily replicated. The idea is to give the pupils useful information and establish an association between science and fun at early ages.

Last week, the Evonik team conducted the first school visit at the Jumeirah Baccalaureate School as a part of a series of visits planned in 2017 in both the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia.
