"DMA is attracting remarkable and diverse leaders to our Board, and this rich diversity of marketers, solution providers, publishers and agencies uniquely positions DMA to address industry challenges from the highest vantage point without being beholden to a particular segment of the industry," said Tom Benton, DMA's CEO. "We are thrilled to have an executive with Steve's level of experience join us on our Board of Directors. Steve brings valuable insight and expertise to the organization and will play a key role in helping us identify, launch and propel innovations and high-value resources and solutions for our members."

Wagner has held various regional and global leadership positions at Experian, and was most recently appointed group president of Experian Marketing Services in North America, global leader of the e-mail and cross-channel marketing business, and global segment leader for Experian Marketing Services. He began his tenure at Experian leading the North America Consumer Information Services business (the U.S. credit bureau) during the 2008 banking crisis and the economy´s gradual return to growth over the next five years. In June 2013, Wagner was appointed group president of credit services for Brazil, the largest provider of consumer and business credit reference services in Latin America. In June 2015, he also assumed responsibility for the Experian Marketing Services and Experian Consumer Direct businesses in Brazil. Wagner also serves as global chair for the Experian Social Innovation Committee, which invests within Experian's global businesses to enhance innovation in areas that empower consumers across Experian's markets.

"DMA is an essential organization in today's marketing landscape, and Experian is committed to continuing to help advance marketing and the power of data," said Wagner. "I am honored to be joining such a prestigious board, with the opportunity to work alongside many inspiring peers across the industry."
