Dr. Ezra Jampole, from our Buildings and Structures Practice, was awarded the inaugural Younger Member Award from the Earthquake Engineering Research Institute (EERI) on June 28 at the 11th National Conference on Earthquake Engineering in Los Angeles.

Dr. Jampole was recognized for his long-time commitment to EERI, including his collaborations in earthquake reconnaissance through EERI's Learning from Earthquakes Program and Virtual Earthquake Reconnaissance Team, contributions to the Younger Members Committee and New York / Northeast Chapter, and guiding EERI student members into active participation as younger members.

Dr. Jampole gave three presentations at the conference on post-earthquake damage assessment, enhanced seismic performance systems, and measures of earthquake intensity.
