Mr. Phillip Cassidy joins Exponent as a Senior Managing Scientist in the Chemical Regulation & Food Safety practice. Mr. Cassidy brings nearly three decades of experience in environmental fate, residue chemistry, metabolism, and synthesis (cold and radiolabeled). In addition to his experience supporting the pesticide industry, he has also worked on projects for the foods, veterinary, pharmaceuticals, and industrial chemicals industries.

Mr. Cassidy has worked in the agrochemical industry since 1988. His career includes experience in the areas of pesticide registration and the conduct of laboratory studies. His areas of expertise include environmental fate, radiosynthesis, metabolite synthesis, crop residue and processing studies, livestock residue (feeding and dermally applied) studies, and soil, water, plant and animal metabolism. He has overseen the testing portion of pesticide and animal health projects for North American, European and Asian registrations. The studies have been required to support new compound registration, to fulfill data gaps from the original registration, generate higher tier testing needed to mitigate risk, or to fulfill Data Call-Ins for Registration Review.

Over his career, Mr. Cassidy has overseen the testing programs that resulted in the registration of more than 25 new compounds utilized as pesticides, antimicrobials, or animal health drugs, as well as registration and registration review support for many of compounds that are registered generics.
