Under the contract, FAMUR will supply the Turkish customer with a total of 300 sections of the FRS 16/26 powered roof support units, three PSZ-750 armoured face conveyors and a KGS-245N shearer loader by the end of January 2018. This is yet another order placed for such equipment by IMBAT MADENCILIK; KGS-245N will be the sixth shearer loader of this type bought for a mine owned by the Turkish company.

- As a company, FAMUR has always been close to us owing to good communication with persons who deal with the Turkish market, and its equipment is characterized by high quality - assessed Kenan Lukumci, representative of IMBAT MADENCILIK, during the visit in Katowice. As he explained, Famur machines whose purchase was decided have a unique design and application.

Ultimately, next year as many as five longwall systems utilizing the LTCC method supplied by FAMUR will be operating at the Imbat mine.

IMBAT MADENCILIK is a company which conducts business within the mining and energy industries, among others. It manages the Imbat lignite mine, as well as a coal preparation plant, both of which are located in the Soma region in Turkey. The company employs 4250 miners and 450 technical staff members. Its production capacity is 4.5 million tonnes of coal per year. IMBAT MADENCILIK is currently in the process of changing its conventional mining system to a fully automated one, so that in the future its annual coal production can reach 6 million tonnes.
