The symposium will be attended by Chinese officials and will give Faurecia-a key industrial partner and stakeholder in China for the past 20 years-an opportunity to actively contribute to the debate on emissions control standards and the way in which they are implemented in China, while actively supporting the decisions taken by the Chinese authorities with a view to improving air quality in the country, and especially in major urban regions in the east, which are a hub for economic activity and therefore a major source of urban pollution.

With the introduction of increasingly stringent environmental laws effective as of January 1, 2015, the stakes are high for the Chinese government. Faurecia is number one in the Chinese market and a global leader in emissions control technology, and is already in a position to help China achieve its goals through new technologies such as its Ammonia Storage and Delivery System (ASDS), which makes vehicles significantly cleaner.

The event will be attended by Chinese officials including Mr Pan Yue, First Vice Minister of the Ministry of Environment Protection (MEP), Mr Maurice Gourdault-Montagne, French Ambassador to China, along with leading figures such as Mr Michael Walsh, Founding Chairman of the Board of Directors of the International Council on Clean Transportation, Mr Sun Jungong, spokesperson of the Supreme Court and Mr Yang Mingsen, president of China Environment Newspaper.
