From August 29 to September 2, in Busan (South Korea), Faurecia will be a priviledged partner of both the International Union of Air Pollution Prevention Associations' (IUAPPA) World Clean Air Congress and NGO Clean Air Asia's Better Air Quality Conference.

The two leading international air quality meetings are being jointly held in a landmark event to explore scientific, technological and policy solutions to global health and environmental issues. Attendees include several hundred participants from over 50 countries representing a selection of NGOs, Environmental Institutions, Regulators and State Officials from various Ministries for the Environment.

The following key themes will be covered during the event:

  • Cities and megacities: Asia Meets the World
  • Air pollution management: Advances in Technology, Policy and Practice
  • International action on air pollution
  • Linking air pollution and climate: New Science, Multiple Benefits, New Policies
  • Achieving health, climate and food security benefits through mitigation of Short Lived Climate Pollutants (SLCPs)
  • Sustainable transport solutions for cities: Low Emission Pathways for Moving People and Goods.

Chairman Yann Delabrière, FECT Asia President Mathias Miedreich and other Faurecia representatives will be speaking at the opening ceremony, conferences and round-table events to present the Group's take on sustainable mobility. In addition, a selection of products and solutions are being showcased at a booth to highlight Faurecia's extensive expertise in air quality, energy recovery and lightweighting initiatives.
Faurecia solutions such as EHPG, EHRS and ASDS are on display, together with composite and biomateria l innovations that help reduce a vehicle's weight and thus its fuel consumption.

The International Union of Air Pollution Prevention Associations' World Clean Air Congress

Held every three years since the first Congress took place in London in 1966, the World Clean Air Congress (WCAC) is organized by the International Union of Air Pollution Prevention Associations (IUAPPA) and attended by some 500-700 participants from more than 40 countries. WCAC offers participants the unique opportunity to keep abreast of their own specialized areas and to keep up to date on air-related environmental policies and scientific developments.

Clean Air Asia's Better Air Quality Conference

Every two years, Clean Air Asia (CAA) organizes the prestigious Better Air Quality Conference (BAQ) which remains the leading international conference on air quality in Asia. The event covers the transport, energy, and industrials sectors and discusses related issues such as climate change, with a particular emphasis on government policies and measures. Policy makers, experts and industry leaders meet at BAQ to network, innovate, learn and share experiences. Past BAQs have proven to leverage change, influence policies, initiate new projects and programs across Asia and establish innovative partnerships. Faurecia is a long-term partner of CAA.
