Allman, Managing Director, will cover Exploration and Production (E&P) and Robert F. Balsamo, Senior Vice President and Senior Research Analyst, will focus on midstream energy companies. Mr. Allman will be based in FBR’s New York offices while Mr. Balsamo will be based in the Company’s Arlington, VA headquarters.

Mr. Allman has twenty years of equity research experience, having most recently served as senior E&P analyst at J.P. Morgan.  He has also held research positions at RBC Capital Markets and Stephens, Inc.  Mr. Allman has a B.A. from Villanova University and an M.B.A. from Indiana University.

Mr. Balsamo comes to FBR from UBS Securities, LLC, where he served as a Director and Analyst focused on MLP Research.  Prior to UBS, he held energy focused research and investment banking positions at Global Hunter Securities, LLC.  He holds a B.A. from Colgate University and an M.B.A. from Tulane University.
