WASHINGTON, Jan. 23 -- Rep. Michael E. Capuano, D-Mass., has introduced legislation (H.R. 491) to "provide for the repayment of amounts borrowed by Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac from the Treasury of the U.S., together with interest, over a 30-year period."
The bill was introduced on Jan. 12. It was referred to the House Financial Services Committee.
