FedEx Corporation : Fedex Ground To Build New Distribution Center In Queens -Report

FedEx Ground is set next year to shutter its Maspeth distribution center and move it to Long Island City, also in Queens, the New York Daily News reported on its website Wednesday, citing company officials.
The new 140,000-square-foot plant, to be built at an estimated $56 million, could be completed by spring 2013, FedEx spokesman David Westrick said, according to the report.
The business-to-business shipping arm of FedEx Corp. (FDX) is looking to grow, Westrick told the newspaper.
