FedEx Office, a leading provider of convenient, state-of-the-art printing, packing and shipping services, announced the expansion of FedEx SameDay City®, a local courier delivery service, to Austin and San Antonio, now providing major market coverage in Texas.

FedEx SameDay® City is the company’s local shipping option, which offers door-to-door delivery of time-sensitive parcels within hours with real-time notifications.

The service, currently in Dallas, Fort Worth and Houston, gives consumers and business owners even more access to the FedEx network of convenient and trusted solutions. Increasingly, industries such as health care, life sciences, eCommerce retail, manufacturing, finance, perishables, travel and automotive are relying on same-day services.

With FedEx SameDay City, customers in more than 25 markets, can choose the speed and cost to best fit their needs. Priority service is available seven days a week, in as fast as two hours. Standard service offers pickup as late as 1 p.m. for business delivery, and as late as 4 p.m. for residential delivery, by the end of day.

“In this fast paced economy where eCommerce drives the demand for quicker delivery, FedEx SameDay City is now a reliable option for our customers in Austin and San Antonio,” said Brian Phillips, CEO of FedEx Office. “Expanding our footprint to the major Texas markets gives us the opportunity to tout additional services customers may not know we provide, as well as help meet the delivery needs of customers in a timely manner.”

Additionally, customers using the FedEx SameDay City app can view the location of their packages on a delivery map and receive estimated arrival time notifications.
