Libourne – 12 July 2017 – Fermentalg has announced that it is strengthening the management team in charge of steering the company through the industrial and commercial phase of its expansion.

Philippe Cia, Industrial Director

Philippe has 25 years of experience in the food industry, where he has held various positions managing operations and production sites, including more than eight years at the Cargill group, a world leader in food ingredients.

A graduate in biotechnology engineering from Polytech Clermont-Ferrand with a DEA post?graduate certificate in bio-industry/food, he has a wide range of experience enabling him to deploy his pragmatism, the rigor he developed from his time in major corporations and his industrial expertise.

Philippe is responsible for leading the production ramp-up at the partner industrial site and the preparation of the future Fermentalg site in Libourne.

Jean-Louis Caradec, Sales Director

Jean-Louis will head Fermentalg's Sales Department after working for seven years for the Polaris group, a French leader in Omega-3 marketing, where he had served as Sales Director since March 2015.

Jean-Louis is responsible for rolling out the sales strategy and organizing the distribution circuits, which notably includes launching the first two products in the Omega-3 range, the DHA350 and DHA550 algal oils. In this regard, Fermentalg's priorities are to bring DHA350 to the market in 2017, as well as to finalize the development of concentrated Omega-3 oil DHA550 and proceed to large-scale industrialization with a view to commercializing it in 2018.

Bertrand Devillers, Chief Financial Officer

Bertrand joins Fermentalg after serving as Chief Financial Officer in international groups in the industrial and retail sectors, including seven years spent abroad in Europe and the United States.

A graduate of HEC Paris, Bertrand has implemented financial and operational structuring projects throughout his career. Since 2004, he has shared his time between an entrepreneurial project and consulting and transition management assignments in companies undergoing transformation.

Bertrand joined Fermentalg in early 2017 to support the company through the industrial and commercial deployment phase.

Véronique Roumégous, Legal Officer

Véronique is a business law graduate from Université de Nancy and Universidad de Salamanca, where she specialized in trade law and international contracts. She also has experience in intellectual property law, which is essential for an innovative company such as Fermentalg. Véronique held various legal counsel positions in France and Spain until 2013, when she joined Camus, a family-owned firm that has specialized in producing cognac for 150 years. She is a qualified lawyer in France and Spain, and a member of the Bar in Madrid.

Véronique has been appointed as Fermentalg's Legal Officer Counsel and given the mission of securing all of the company's developments from a legal perspective, be they scientific (intellectual property), industrial or commercial (partnership agreements).

Emmanuelle Toury, Human Resources Director

With a DESS post-graduate degree in corporate labor relations from Université Montesquieu – Bordeaux IV, Emmanuelle has nearly 14 years of experience working with innovative companies as part of veterinary health farm Ceva Santé Animale.

She joined Fermentalg in June as Human Resources Director, a key position at a time when the company needs to attract and retain top talent to successfully complete its industrial and commercial turnaround.
