• Mawson wins Race1 and Race2 on the German circuit, thus earning the world title.
  • Mick Schumacher wins the last race, confirming his runner up position in the Championship.
  • For the young German, the season will close in Monza on 30 October, when he will race to win the Italian F4 Championship powered by Abarth.
  • Good success for the German series, with over 40 pilots and their single seaters powered by Abarth on the starting line.

Australian pilot Joey Mawson is the winner of the 2016 ADAC-Abarth F4 Championship powered by Abarth, the German series bringing together over 40 young pilots on their single seater cars powered by the 160 HP Abarth T-Jet engine. An excellent learning car that animated spectacular and hotly disputed races, like those unfolding at the last appointment on the Hockenheim circuit.

At the eve of the race, two pilots were aiming for success: Australian pilot Joey Mawson and young German Mick Schumacher, who was unlucky in the qualifiers and thus forced to race in the qualifying race, which he comfortably won. Mawson won the first two races, thus winning the title, while Mick Schumacher provided a show in the last race, overtaking several opponents to achieve his final win.

However, his season is not over: he is still a hot contender for the Italian F4 Championship powered by Abarth, where he is runner up behind Marcos Siebert from Argentina before the final leg, scheduled for Monza on 29th and 30th October.
A positive end for the second German season, with over 40 pilots representing 19 nations on the starting line, all on the Italian single seaters powered by Abarth.
