For Q1 FY18, Fiat Chrysler reported net revenues of ?27.03 billion compared to ?27.72 billion in Q1 FY17. The Company's adjusted EBIT stood at ?1.61 billion in the reported quarter, up from ?1.54 billion in the prior year's same quarter.

The automobile Company reported a net profit of ?1.02 billion, or ?0.65 per diluted share, in Q1 FY18 compared to ?641 million, or ?0.41 per diluted share, in Q1 FY17. The Company's adjusted net profit stood at ?1.04 billion, or ?0.66 per diluted share, in the reported quarter, up from ?671 million, or ?0.43 per diluted share, in Q1 FY17.

Segment Performance

For the reported quarter, Fiat Chrysler's LATAM segment's net revenues increased 13% to ?1.89 billion from ?1.67 billion in Q1 FY17. The segment's shipments were also up to 132 thousand units in Q1 FY18 from 101 thousand units in Q1 FY17. The segment reported adjusted EBIT of ?74 million in Q1 FY18 compared to negative adjusted EBIT of ?20 million recorded in the year ago same quarter.

During Q1 FY18, Fiat Chrysler's APAC segment's net revenues were down to ?619 million from ?666 million in the last year's comparable quarter. The segment's shipments were 56 thousand units during Q1 FY18 compared to 66 thousand units in Q1 FY17. The segment's adjusted EBIT were ?10 million, or 1.6% of segment revenues, in Q1 FY18 versus ?21 million, or 3.2% of segment revenues, in Q1 FY17.

Fiat Chrysler's EMEA segment's net revenues grew marginally to ?5.64 billion in Q1 FY18 from ?5.63 billion in the last year's corresponding quarter. The segment's shipments were up to 345 thousand units during the reported quarter from 340 thousand units in Q1 FY17. Moreover, the segment reported adjusted EBIT of ?182 million in Q1 FY18, rising from ?178 million in Q1 FY17.

Fiat Chrysler's Maserati segment's net revenues declined to ?754 million during Q1 FY18 from ?949 million in Q1 FY17. The segment's adjusted EBIT stood at ?86 million, or 11.4% of segment revenues, in the reported quarter versus ?107 million, or 11.3% of segment revenues, in the prior year's same quarter.

Fiat Chrysler's Components segment's net revenues were ?2.48 billion during Q1 FY18 compared to ?2.53 billion in Q1 FY17. The segment's adjusted EBIT came in flat to ?118 million during Q1 FY18.

Cash Flow and Balance Sheet

During the quarter ended March 31, 2018, Fiat Chrysler's cash flows from industrial operating activities were ?1.0 billion. The Company had a cash and cash equivalents balance of ?11.58 billion as on March 31, 2018, compared to ?12.64 billion as on December 31, 2017.
