Comment on FCA's November Sales in Europe

In November, FCA sales in Europe totaled nearly 74,600 vehicles. For the eleven months year-to-date, sales totaled more than 982,400 vehicles, an increase of 6.9% year-over-year (+4.0% for the industry). Alfa Romeo and Jeep posted particularly strong results. Sales for Alfa Romeo were up 23.0% in November and 33.3% for the year-to-date, driven by performance of the Giulia and Stelvio. Sales for Jeep were up 27.6% for the month and 2.7% for the year-to-date, driven by results for the Renegade and Compass. The Fiat Panda and Fiat 500 dominated the European A segment once again in November and held a combined 29.3% segment share for the year-to-date.

FCA closed November with sales in Europe (EU28+EFTA) totaling nearly 74,600 vehicles and market share at 5.9%.
For the eleven months year-to-date, sales were up 6.9% (+4.0% for the industry) to more than 982,400 vehicles and market share was 20 basis points higher at 6.8%.
Group sales were up - both in November and for the year-to-date - in Germany (+6.3% and +9.6%, respectively), France (+9.3% and +12.0%, respectively) and Spain (+15.3% and +15.7%, respectively).

Fiat brand posted November sales of nearly 51,800 vehicles, with European market share at 4.1%.
For the year-to-date, brand sales totaled more than 736,100 vehicles, outpacing the industry average with an increase of 6.4% year-over-year. Market share was 10 basis points higher at 5.1%.
In November, brand sales were up 1.1% in Germany, 8.9% in France, and 12.8% in Spain. For the year-to-date, sales were up 6.0% in Italy, 11.6% in Germany, 11.4% in France and 14.4% in Spain.
Fiat continued to dominate the European A segment with the Panda and 500 ranking first and second for both November and the year. The two models held a combined 29.3% segment share for the year-to-date. Sales of the 500 were up 4.9% for the month and 5.7% for the year-to-date. The Tipo also posted positive results, with November sales up 3.1% year-over-year. The 500X and 500L were both among the leaders in their segments.

Lancia/Chrysler posted November sales of more than 3,900 vehicles, with European share at 0.3%.
Year-to-date, brand sales totaled nearly 57,700 units and market share was 0.4%.
The Lancia Ypsilon continued as one of the best selling vehicles Italy and leader in the Italian B segment for the year-to-date.

Alfa Romeo posted European sales of more than 7,500 vehicles in November (+23.0%), with market share 10 basis points higher at 0.6%.
Year-to-date, brand sales were up 33.3% to nearly 80,000 vehicles with market share 20 basis points higher at 0.6%.
Brand sales grew in all major markets. In Italy, sales were up 21.5% in November and 27.1% year-to-date. In Germany, sales were up 43.9% in November and 48.7% year-to-date. In France, sales were up 2.8% in November and 28.8% year-to-date. In the UK, sales were up 20.7% in November and 2.3% year-to-date. In Spain, sales were up 4.7% in November and 32.2% year-to-date.
Driving these results in November were the Alfa Romeo Giulia and Stelvio. Sales of the Giulia were up 7.6% year-over-year and the Stelvio, already top in its segment in Italy (16.4% share), continued to climb the European rankings.

Jeep posted another strong monthly sales performance with nearly 10,700 vehicles sold (+27.6%) and market share 10 basis points higher at 0.8%.
Year-to-date, sales were up 2.7% to nearly 99,400 vehicles and market share was in line with the prior year at 0.7%.
The brand outperformed the industry average in Italy (+48.9% in November and +21.1% year-to-date), Germany (+20.4% in November), France (+22.7% in November and 6.2% year-to-date) and Spain (+39.1% in November and +25.4% year-to-date).
These results were driven by the Renegade (among the European top ten in its segment again in November) and the Compass. Sales of the Renegade totaled 5,800 vehicles in November and 68,000 for the year-to-date, while sales of the Compass totaled nearly 3,200 vehicles in November and nearly 12,400 year-to-date.

For Maserati, the Group's luxury brand, European sales totaled 670 vehicles in November and 9,007 for the year-to-date.
