November 24, 2017 - Fibria included in B3's Corporate Sustainability Index (ISE) for the thirteenth straight year

São Paulo - Fibria, a Brazilian company and the world's leading producer of eucalyptus pulp from planted forests, has been selected for the thirteenth consecutive year to be included in the Corporate Sustainability Index (ISE) of B3, the São Paulo stock exchange. The company was included in the portfolio of shares making up the ISE in 2018, which will be valid from January 8, 2018 to January 4, 2019. The new portfolio of the index, which includes 33 shares of 30 companies, has had the Sustainability Study Center of the Fundação Getulio Vargas (GVces) as its technical partner since inception. Twelve sectors, with total market value of R$1.28 trillion, are represented in the index.

'Fibria has been in the index since its launch in 2005. This is yet another recognition by the market of the company's governance and sustainability good practices combined with financial performance,' says Guilherme Cavalcanti, Chief Financial and Investor Relations Officer at Fibria. In addition to ISE, Fibria has been included in the Dow Jones Sustainability Index Emerging Markets (DJSI Emerging Markets) of the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) for the fifth time. It was the only one selected from seven companies in the Forest Products and Paper industry that participated in the selection process.

'Social and environmental investment is incorporated to Fibria's business strategy, combining financial success with the development and prosperity of society. This is our vision of generating shared value, which is reflected in the inclusion of the company in the Corporate Sustainability Index,' explains Maria Luiza de Oliveira Pinto and Paiva, Chief Sustainability, Communication and Corporate Relations Officer at Fibria.
