Digital Insurance (www.digitalinsurance.com), the nation's largest and most technologically advanced employee benefits-only agency, continues to augment its leadership team by adding long-time insurance experts Nancy Hill and Chris Schutt. Hill has been selected to direct Digital's Customer Advocate Center, and Schutt was appointed managing principal of the Virginia office of Digital Benefit Advisors (DBA), a growing division of Digital with 24 offices across the country.

"We've tapped top talent -- who share deep experience, analytical acumen and a passion for this business -- to manage a key location and a critical function," says Mike Sullivan, Digital's executive vice president and chief marketing officer. "Nancy and Chris will be strong assets to our team as we build on 14 years of success, and both will serve as invaluable resources for our customers."

The Customer Advocate Center is a differentiating factor in Digital's unique business model and provides a distinct competitive advantage during an era of change in the employee benefits industry. Recognized for raising the bar in customer support, Digital's Customer Advocate Center gives policy holders direct access to company representatives for questions related to policies, procedures and claims, and thus enables employers to focus on their core business.

"We are fortunate to gain someone of Nancy's caliber and extensive background in customer service to head up our Customer Advocate Center," notes Sullivan. "With her guidance, we will continue to deliver stellar and unsurpassed customer service to employers and their employees."

With more than 25 years of experience managing customer service teams and call center operations, Hill worked with Honeywell HBS/SGS, serving as operations manager of the Global Service Response Center. Prior to that, she managed the Customer Contact Information Center for Charitis (AIG) Insurance. In addition, Hill served as director of customer service at Fresh Express, project manager for the City of Atlanta and senior project manager for The Coca-Cola Company.

Chris Schutt, as managing principal of the Virginia office of Digital Benefit Advisors (DBA), will focus on delivering strategic products and services to clients in the mid-Atlantic region. He also is responsible for guiding a 45-member team which operates out of Richmond, Charlottesville and Roanoke.

"Chris' wealth of knowledge, noteworthy industry experience and proven leadership make him an excellent addition to our expanding agency network," says Sullivan. "He will be instrumental in helping us continue to enroll Virginia employers in Digital Benefits Marketplace, our private insurance exchange solution."

Digital Benefits Marketplace (www.digitalbenefitsmarketplace.com), which launched in Virginia last October, enables companies to control benefits expenses through fixed costs and provides a comprehensive array of employee benefits, while eliminating time and challenges traditionally related to benefits administration. DBM offers trained customer support to guide individuals through the enrollment process.

Digital Benefit Advisors has built a market stronghold in Virginia, with acquisitions of Strategic Employee Benefits Services (SEBS) of Virginia, Richmond's Dominion Benefits and Reston's CCA since 2011. DBA combines the commitment of experienced, local market advisors with the sophisticated technology and innovative resources of a respected national company. Employers receive access to a broader variety of carriers, dynamic tools, proprietary products and a private exchange.

Schutt's 21-year career includes executive positions in employee benefits consulting and risk management. Prior to joining Digital, he was Managing Director of the Virginia office of Marsh & McLennan and previously led business development for the Mid-Atlantic region of Marsh. He also managed the Norfolk operation of Johnson & Higgins, which was then Marsh & McLennan, and was responsible for the risk management and health care consulting operations.
