Filtrona specializes in the development, manufacturing and distribution of specialty plastic, fiber and foam products. Net sales break down by family of products as follows:
- cigarette filters (38.5%);
- protection and finishing products (30.1%): plastic injection-moulded, vinyl dip-moulded, and metal items, pressure sensitive tapes, etc. intended mainly to hydraulics, pneumatics, oil and gas industries;
- coated and security products (18.2%): self-adhesive tear tapes, labels, products and technologies for the consumer packaging, identity and valuable documents markets;
- fluid handling components (13.2%): products developed from bonded fiber, polyurethane foam, and porous plastic and used in healthcare, consumer and industrial applications (medical diagnostics tests, advanced wound care pads, inkjet printer cartridges, writing instruments and air fresheners).
