The Finish Line Youth Foundation announced today $106,443 in grants and funding donated to 19 organizations in 12 states and Washington, D.C. These grants were awarded during the first quarter of 2015 to organizations that are focused on healthy lifestyles, youth development and special needs.

“When you see the smile on a child who arrives at camp for the first time or a participant cross the finish line for her first 5K, the Finish Line family knows our investments have been worthwhile,” said Marty Posch, president of the Finish Line Youth Foundation. “We’re proud to support organizations that get youth across the country living more active and healthy lifestyles.”

The Finish Line Youth Foundation supports qualified non-profit opportunities for participation in youth programs and camps that place an importance on youth development and an active lifestyle for disadvantaged, sick and disabled youth.

The deadline to submit grant applications at www.flyf.org for this quarter is June 30, 2015.

LEGACY GRANT:

Brainy Camps (Washington, D.C.) – $30,000 to build a recreation center for 450 children. Brainy Camps serve families and children with various chronic health conditions.

CAMPS:

Camp Smile-A-Mile (Birmingham, Ala.) – $5,000 to fund a camp for children with cancer.

Dedham Community Association (Boston) – $1,000 for summer camp scholarships for the youth of greater Boston.

Family Support Network (Fullerton, Calif.) – $5,000 to fund Camp TLC for children with autism.

Happy Hollow Children’s Camp (Indianapolis) – $5,000 to fund camp for at-risk youth.

Hear Indiana (Indianapolis) – $5,000 to fund a listening and spoken language camp for deaf and hard of hearing children.

Lincoln Teammates Mentoring Program (Lincoln, Neb.) – $5,000 to fund Abbott Summer Camp for underprivileged youth.

Little Red Door Cancer Agency (Indianapolis) – $5,000 for Camp Little Red Door for pediatric cancer patients.

Mason City Family YMCA (Mason City, Ohio) – $2,000 for The Inclusion Project, a summer day camp for youth with and without special needs.

Muscular Dystrophy Association (Downers Grove, Ill.) – $4,000 for summer camp for youth with muscle disease.

NorCal Services for Deaf and Hard of Hearing (North Highland, Calif.) – $5,000 for Camp Grizzly for deaf and hard of hearing children.

The Children’s Home of Cincinnati (Cincinnati) – $5,000 to fund Camp-I-Can summer camp for at-risk and disadvantaged youth.

Tri-State Bleeding Disorder Foundation (Cincinnati) – $5,000 for Camp NJOYITALL for children with bleeding disorders.

Via Services, Inc. (Santa Clara, Calif.) – $5,000 to fund Water World Camp for youth with physical and developmental disabilities.

HEALTHY LIFESTYLES:

Damar Services (Indianapolis) – $5,000 to fund Indy Twisters hockey program for youth with special needs

Epic Center (Milwaukee) – $1,500 to fund ECCO soccer league for at-risk youth.

Girls on the Run of the Rockies (Aurora, Colo.) – $3,000 for an after school running program for at-risk girls.

Roundup River Ranch (Avon, Colo.) – $5,000 to fund a challenge course program for youth with physical limitations.

YMCA of Cumberland (Cumberland, Md.) – $4,943 to fund a soccer league for at-risk middle school girls.
