32,000 square foot office building. First Tennessee purchased the three-story building in
1982 from Harpeth National Bank and will remain in the building as a tenant.
D9 Development has a proven history of visioning and executing important properties over the last decade in the Historic District of Franklin including The Brownstones at
First & Church and the 131 Third Avenue North office building. The bank will maintain
its important Downtown Franklin branch on the first floor with a Main Street Entrance in the new property.
"First Tennessee is committed to Franklin," said Carol Yochem, First Tennessee's Middle Tennessee president. "We are thrilled to partner with this team and look forward to having a redeveloped and re-imagined building for our customers and employees."
First Tennessee has signed a seven-year lease on space in the building and First Tennessee signage will remain on the new property. The sale is expected to close within the next few weeks. Renovation of the building will follow, and the bank will remain open to customers during construction. "We're excited about the opportunity to create a new vision for this important location on the Square," said Bernie Butler of D9
Development.
