First of Long Island : Michael N. Vittorio Joins The Viscardi Center Board of Directors

Albertson, NY - August 18, 2016 - The Viscardi Center, a network of non-profit organizations providing a lifespan of services that educate, employ and empower children and adults with disabilities, announced Michael N. Vittorio, President & CEO of The First National Bank of Long Island, has joined its Board of Directors. Vittorio, a resident of Merrick, has been actively involved with the Center for several years and honored at its annual Celebrity Sports Night fundraiser in 2013.

Activities have included visits by students to local branches, the hosting of Career Days that let youth explore a wide range of careers and learn about all aspects of operating a financial institution and conducting practice interviews with adults in the Center's vocational training and employment placement services to further prepare them for job searches. One of the highlights of the relationship is the bankers vs. students wheelchair basketball games throughout the year.
