Alexandre Bompard, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Fnac Darty, has informed the Board of Directors of his resignation as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Company.

In order to facilitate the transition of management at the head of the Group, this resignation will take effect from July 17, 2017.

Alexandre Bompard will remain a Director of the Company until the final quarter of 2017.

The Board would like to thank Alexandre Bompard very warmly for the quality of the work he has accomplished and the exceptional path the Group has traced in the past seven years. In particular, the Board highlights the company's operational recovery and its merger with Darty, which has already borne its first fruits.

Speaking on behalf of all members of the Board of Directors, Patricia Barbizet, Vice-President of the Board, said: "The managerial and industrial trail blazed by Alexandre Bompard at the head of Fnac Darty has been a tremendous success. The bold and proactive strategy he adopted to take the Group to new horizons, and the remarkable quality of the teams he had around him enable the Group to successfully and forcefully address this new chapter in its history. On behalf of all members of the Board, I wish Alexander every success in his new role."

In order to ensure continuity in the Group's management, the Board has asked the Appointments and Remuneration Committee and Alexandre Bompard to study the different possible solutions in terms of succession, and to make recommendations to the Board by July 17.
