Miguel Jurado appointed chairman of FCC Construction
He replaces Fernando Moreno, who is retiring after 28 years with the Group
Vicente Mohedano was appointed general manager to complete remodelling the division
The Board of Directors of FCC, chaired by Esther Alcocer Koplowitz, yesterday approved the appointment of Miguel Jurado as Chairman of FCC Construction and as a member of the Group's Management Committee, based on a favourable report by the Appointments and Remuneration Committee.
Mr Jurado, who will report directly to Juan Béjar, Vice Chairman and CEO, replaces Fernando Moreno, who is retiring after 28 years at FCC in various positions of responsibility. The Board expressed its gratitude for the hard work and dedication of Fernando Moreno, who was appointed to the top position in the Construction division in March last year.
Jurado graduated in civil engineering from the Technical University of Madrid in 1987 and obtained an MBA from IESE. He joined FCC, in the Construction area, in 1988.In 2005, he was named head of Development and Subsidiaries at Aqualia; that same year, he was appointed Deputy General Manager of Development and International Business at Aqualia. He has been general manager of FCC Construction since March 2013.
The Board of Directors also approved the appointment of Vicente Mohedano Martín as general manager of FCC Construction, reporting to the division chair.
Mr Mohedano obtained a degree in Civil Engineering from the Technical University of Madrid. Since joining the Construction division in 1991, he has accumulated sound experience with managing civil engineering and industrial projects, and has held a number of positions of responsibility in those areas. He has been manager of Latin America and Algeria since June 2013.
