Foncière des Régions has inaugurated the totally restructured 3,690 m² Steel building in the heart of Paris' 16 th arrondissement. It was bought in 2001 and previously occupied by Orange. Today, the building offers characterful work spaces, designed to encourage creativity.

Foncière des Régions acquired the building in 2001 from Orange, which later decided to partially move out in 2012. At that time, Foncière des Régions conceived an ambitious redevelopment programme for the building, which has solid fundamentals and an ideal location within spitting distance of the Eiffel Tower and Trocadéro.
A private mansion with industrial influences
The architectural design, by Palissad Architectures, sought to rethink this character building, built between 1907 and 1927, with Art nouveau influences blending stone, glass and steel. The steel gave its name to the building. Once completed, the Steel building's restructure combined modernity with respect for the building's individual style to create an 'industrial' private mansion.
Its interior spaces and services provide a comfortable working environment with accessible terraces, an impressive entrance lobby and spacious office space. The Steel building is designed to promote creativity and communication. It has an inner garden and a stunning view of the Eiffel Tower from its roof terrace.

Steel is now on the market, with an NF HQE TM Excellent Passport and the BBC-effinergie energy performance label.
