"Ctrl+alt+desk, reset your office!": Foncière des Régions launches a hackathon on "tomorrow's office"

Foncière des Régions is joining forces with Orange and IBM in a collaborative approach to innovation. The partners, together with Revolution@Work, are jointly organising a hackathon with the inspiring title: "Ctrl+alt+desk, reset your office!".

Two days to break the codes and innovate on the subject. From 10-11 October 2017, around 100 participants from diverse backgrounds (coders, students, professionals, etc.) will focus on ideation and generating ideas, with the aim of designing future products or services to improve the customer experience in the workplace. This hackathon aims to be a forum for expression where people can, on the one hand, imagine and create future work and living spaces, and the digital tools that go with them, and on the other, design and prototype spaces and digital applications that can be used to inspire working methods both today and tomorrow.

"The work environment and quality of life at the office are part of the transformation challenges faced by companies, big and small, public authorities and real estate actors. Whether it is changes in working methods or taking into account the breadth of new forms of activities, work spaces and related services have to adapt to the new needs of their occupants. This includes "reinventing" furniture that is both digital and appealing, in order to provide teams with spaces that are even more attractive and perform their role better ", emphasised Philippe Boyer, Innovation Director at Foncière des Régions.

At the end of the two-day competition, a jury will announce the winning projects, which will be awarded a number of prizes, including specific guidance for the winning team from the incubator Immowell Lab. This event, which has the support of Ms Muriel Penicaud, Employment Minister, will take place in Paris, at Orange's Villa Bonne Nouvelle, an innovative location where new working methods are being trialled.

To encourage even greater participation in this hackathon, Orange make its collaborative digital platform Imagine with Orangeavailable to gather together the best ideas on the subject from Internet users. To register online click here
