Peter Fleet is named vice president, Marketing, Sales and Service, Asia Pacific, effective December 1, 2015. At the same time, he also is elected a Ford Motor Company officer.

In this role, Peter is responsible for leading the marketing, sales and service functions across the Asia Pacific region. He will be based in Shanghai, China and reports to Dave Schoch, Ford Motor Company group vice president and president, Asia Pacific.

Peter most recently served as vice president, Sales, Ford of Europe. Ford total market share in Europe for the first nine months of 2015 is the highest since 2011, sales to retail customers account for 49 percent of car sales (up 6 points compared to 2012) and Ford now is the best-selling commercial vehicle brand in Europe (up from #7 position in 2012). Ford dealers across Europe are enjoying improved profitability and investing in 500 new FordStores to offer customers a new and unique Ford retail experience.

Before his assignment at Ford of Europe, he was President of Ford ASEAN, based in Bangkok, Thailand. He lead the integrated operations across Ford's South-East Asia markets (including Thailand, the Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia and Vietnam) during a period of unprecedented growth which saw Ford vehicle sales triple in three years and the company unveil its second state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Thailand. Peter also served as a governor of the American Chamber of Commerce in Thailand and was elected vice president for 2012.

Peter joined Ford of Britain as a graduate trainee in 1989. He has held a variety of positions in the British national sales company, including district manager (Scotland, Northern Ireland and Cumbria), commercial vehicles director and marketing director.

In 2004, he joined Ford of Europe serving first as commercial vehicles director for Marketing, Sales and Service, and then, in 2007, as regional director, European Sales Operations.

Peter was born in Hertfordshire, England in April 1967 and is married with a son and two daughters. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree with honours in Politics and International Relations from the University of Southampton.
