Francotyp-Postalia receives approval for PostBase One in France

Further growth planned in strategic market
Complex approval procedure swiftly completed

Berlin, 15th February 2018 - Francotyp-Postalia Holding AG (FP), experts in the secure mailing business and digital communications, have now also received the approval of the French Post Office for their PostBase One franking system. With just under 200,000 systems installed, France is the second-largest franking machine market in Europe. FP has been present there for a few years, and has begun significantly increasing its market share as part of its ACT growth strategy. Alongside the USA, France is one of the two main target markets of the ACT strategy.

The approval procedure in France is considered one of the most complex and protracted in the world. PostBase One was adapted in advance to fulfil the requirements of the French Post Office, and received the necessary certificates within the shortest possible time. This means that French customers now have access to the entire product range of the modern franking system series PostBase. FP expects this to generate further growth.

Rüdiger Andreas Günther, Chief Executive Officer at Francotyp-Postalia, emphasises, "FP is continuing on the offensive in its core business. Our product range for franking systems meets the expectations of the market and of customers. France is one of the strategic markets where our ACT strategy is proving successful. This approval is another milestone down that road."
