Frontier Communications Corporation (NASDAQ:FTR) is introducing its Ethernet Internet Access (EIA) product to the Carrier channel. The company recently released Ethernet Virtual Private Line (EVPL) Silver, Gold and Platinum enhancements to the Frontier Ethernet Solutions product portfolio.

Frontier’s Wholesale EIA service enables carriers to offer customers Internet access within Frontier’s footprint. Wholesale EIA will be sold through the Carrier channel but will be equivalent to the retail offering by including a package of the Ethernet access circuit and Internet port and bandwidth tiers ranging from 1Mb to 1Gb.

“This is the next step in the growth of our Wholesale product portfolio,” said Rod Imbriani, Vice President of Product Marketing. “We understand the value of building a complete product suite and the ability to deliver and support those products with industry-leading results.”

Frontier’s Carrier Channel Ethernet portfolio continues to grow. Frontier’s release of Carrier EIA Frontier will deliver a primary requirement in the marketplace. This product will support IPv6 standards as well as IPv4 if requested.

EIA will be available wherever Frontier’s existing EVPL product is available throughout the company’s markets in 28 states.

The Frontier Carrier channel will also release a Regional Ethernet ENNI in the coming months, coupled with the ability to support 10Gbps interfaces.
