FUJIFILM Electronic Materials Co., Ltd. (President: Keiji Mihayashi; hereinafter "FFEM"), a semiconductor materials business subsidiary of FUJIFILM Corporation (President: Shigehiro Nakajima; hereinafter "Fujifilm"), has been awarded the "Excellent Performance Award" by the world's largest dedicated semiconductor foundry, Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company Limited (Chairman: Dr. Morris Chang; hereinafter "TSMC").
This is the second time TSMC presented FFEM with an award following the "Supplier Excellence Award"(*1) in FY2013/3. FFEM won the "Excellent Performance Award" for the first time for the localization of the production of CMP slurries (a semiconductor material), and its R&D function, and in recognition of its close cooperation with TSMC in the development of semiconductor materials.

TSMC awards suppliers of outstanding performance in the annual "Supply Chain Management Forum" at the end of each year. Over 600 suppliers participated in this year's 14th forum, held under the theme of "Collaborate and Win Together". FFEM was chosen for the "Excellent Performance Award", which is given to a supplier that has made an outstanding contribution to the supply of advanced materials and manufacturing devices used in semiconductor manufacturing processes. The company received the award in the forum, held in the Taiwanese city of Hsinchu on December 4.

"TSMC congratulates FFEM for winning the prestigious Excellent Performance Award for their ability to deliver Advanced Lithography and CMP products." said Dr. Stephen Tso, Senior Vice President of Risk Management and Materials Management. "FFEM has provided consistently high levels of support and commitment to TSMC, driving proactive technology and quality improvements. We look forward to their continued partnership for the coming years. "

Fujifilm defines the semiconductor materials business as one of its high growth fields, and applies its advanced and proprietary technologies for active business deployment through the group company, FFEM. FFEM has development and production sites in Japan, the United States and Belgium, as well as production sites in Taiwan, South Korea and China, globally supplying advanced materials and devices for semiconductor manufacturing processes, such as photoresists, cleaners and CMP slurries, to contribute to the development of the semiconductor business.
