Meanwhile, the FUJITSU PC ESPRIMO series of desktop PCs and FUJITSU Workstation CELSIUS series of workstation PCs have been updated with the latest specs to support smooth business operations.
The FUJITSU Custom Made Plus service has been given the flexibility to meet the business needs of customers large and small with individual customizations of existing standard menu offerings.
As part of the Fujitsu Mobile Initiative(5), the FUJITSU Cloud PaaS MobileSUITE() mobility platform is positioned alongside the tablets, PCs, and services being announced today. Together, these new products and services give customers and society the improved mobility to accelerate innovation.
Key Product Features 1. Expanded lineup of durable tablets with rich array of accessories enables diverse work stylesThe new models Q704/H and Q584/H are available with an extensive range of accessories, including a slim keyboard, cradle, hand strap, shoulder strap, and keyboard docking station(). These give customers the flexibility to tailor their devices to their working style, using a single device that can handle everything from creating sales materials to going out on sales calls.
These tablets also include a range of features that let them fit into a wide range of work environments: standard fingerprint authentication and optional smartcard-based authentication, water resistance (IPX5/7/8), dust resistance (IPX5)(), and chemical resistance(). This makes them suitable for a range of environments, both in and outside of the office, as well as around food or medicine where hygiene is a priority.
(1) ARROWS Tab Q704/H: a high-spec water-resistant tablet for three ways to work
The Q704/H goes beyond the tablet-style and keyboard-style options of a two-in-one Ultrabook™. It is a three-in-one tablet(), with a third option, cradle style, for maximum performance.
Equipped with an A4-file sized 12.5-inch wide-screen LCD and the latest 4th-generation Intel® Core™ i-series processors, this model can run for roughly 10 hours on battery power. When docked in its cradle, it automatically switches from power-saving normal mode to turbo mode, for maximum CPU performance, connecting quickly to large monitors and other peripheral devices for easier content creation.
(2) ARROWS Tab Q584/H: water-resistant, high-resolution, and as easy as paper to write on
With an extremely sharp 2560 × 1600 pixel WQXGA display and splash-resistant stylus pen input that works on any file type, including PDFs, Office documents, and photos, this tablet is as easy to write on as a sheet of paper. Compact and lightweight at about 640 g(), its battery can power it for approximately 15.5 hours(1), making it ideal for carrying around.
Settings can be changed in a single step with a mode switching tool, enabling users to instantaneously select the mode that best suits their needs, whether it be for presentations, on the go, or on an airplane.
Fujitsu has added four new models, including two new mobile laptop models, equipped with the latest 4th-generation Intel® Core™i5 processor, Intel® vPro™ technology, and ultra-sharp energy-saving IGZO displays.
(1) LIFEBOOK S904/H: lightweight, compact, up to about 28.1-hour battery life(1)
This model offers a 13.3-inch 2560×1440-pixel IGZO display, and at about 1.32 kg() has an overall size and weight on par with most 12-inch laptops. When equipped with a high-capacity battery, it can run for approximately 21.1 hours(1) for outstanding mobile performance. And with an additional battery in the multi-bay slot, it can run for roughly 28.1 hours(1) without increasing size through an additional external component.
Furthermore, even with its slim design, it includes an analog RGB port, wired Ethernet, fingerprint sensor, and quiet-touch keyboard, as well as an "ultra-compressed, solid core" construction successfully pressure tested to 200 kgf, adding toughness to the unit, a feature that business users require.
(2) LIFEBOOK U904/H: World's slimmest Ultrabook™, world's first to embed a palm-vein sensor
This laptop's 14-inch IGZO display has 2.7 times the resolution of a high-definition television, with 3200×1800 pixels, giving it extraordinary sharpness and great energy savings that let it run for roughly 11.8 hours on battery power(1). Its "ultra-compressed, solid core" construction is tough enough to resist bending while contributing to its low 1.43-kg weight. And it is the first Ultrabook™ to come with a compact palm-vein sensor.
3. FUJITSU Cloud PaaS MobileSUITE service enhancementsThe MobileSUITE platform for developing and running mobile applications newly offers CLEARSURE 3G/LTE over 3G and LTE connections for the Q704/H and S904/H. CLEARSURE makes it possible to remotely lock or wipe a lost or stolen computer - even when it is switched off, providing a dependable form of information security. This service has been updated to work with 3G and LTE connections in addition to its existing support for PHS connections, also offering a choice of carriers.
4. ESPRIMO desktop PC and CELSIUS desktop workstation enhancementsThree models are being added to the ESPRIMO series to cover a range of customer needs: the top-of-the-line ESPRIMO D753H, which supports Intel® vPro™ technology; the ESPRIMO D583/H, designed for 24-hour of consecutive usage, and is available with healthcare applications, including compatibility with medical devices and embedded medical systems; and the ESPRIMO K555/H, with a built-in LCD display to minimize space and maximize usability.
There are four new models for the CELSIUS series: the CELSIUS J530, which packs workstation power and reliability into a compact package; the CELSIUS W530, which is loaded with the latest technology to deliver speed, power, and stability; the CELSIUS M730, with the power for demanding applications such as 3D CAD, 3D CGI, and software development; and the CELSIUS R930, equipped with dual CPUs for high-end power and available with the NVIDIA Tesla® K20, with high-performance computing power.
A PC-display linked power switch() lets users switch on the computer automatically by switching on the display for added convenience.
5. Expanded Custom Made Plus ServiceFujitsu has expanded its existing range of standard customization options to give customers greater flexibility, offering everything from personalized design to kitting services to better respond to varied customer needs.
In one instance, Fujitsu developed a tablet with custom specifications for a life-insurance company. In another, to satisfy the needs of a call center, Fujitsu developed a "Style Free PC" with a display arm for an office environment with unassigned seating. These are examples of how Fujitsu meets the variety of customer needs, and offers new ways to work.
