Fujitsu Announces Changes to Group Company Names

Yokohama, Japan, December 18, 2015 - Fujitsu Electronics Inc. today announced that world-wide group sales subsidiaries' names will be changed as follows, once the required public procedures and registration in each country has been completed.

Fujitsu Semiconductor Limited, the parent company of Fujitsu Electronics, converted its group companies outside Japan to wholly-owned subsidiaries of Fujitsu Electronics in May of this year, in order to develop its business to meet the global needs of its customers.

At this time, the company names are being unified under Fujitsu Electronics in order to increase customer recognition of them globally as businesses in the Fujitsu Electronics Group, as well as to make clear that the group companies outside Japan not only provide semiconductors, as previous distributors for Fujitsu Semiconductor, but also provide a wide variety of electronics products and services.

This name change makes clear that Fujitsu Electronics is working to expand the scope of its business by meeting customers' global expectations as a unified group in fact as well as name, and that it is aiming to further improve corporate value and contribute to society.

  • Date of change: January 1, 2016 (Planned)
    * There may be some changes in the date due to rules for public procedures in each country.
