FAYETTEVILLE, TENN. January 7, 2013 - On Friday, January 4, 2013 at approximately 2:10 p.m., emergency procedures were enacted with the evacuation of personnel from Copperweld Bimetallics, LLC, in Fayetteville due to a localized fire in the facility's rooftop area.

Immediate response by Fayetteville Fire Department, led by Chief Danny Travis and crews, resulted in the fire being brought under control within 45 minutes and completely extinguished within approximately two hours.   Approximately 70 employees were on site at the time of fire, and all were safely evacuated.

The Fayetteville, Tennessee plant remains shutdown as of Monday, January 7, 2013 morning. Insurance company representatives are on-site conducting evaluations and inspections. The cause of the fire remains unknown at this time.

The facility has suffered roof damage, water damage, and smoke damage. The magnitude and scope of the destruction is not completely defined at this time. All services such as telephone, electricity, and information systems were shutdown at the time of the fire and have not been restored.

We apologize for our service disruption, and we commit to re-starting production when possible.
